Michael Person, MD

Michael grew up in Fort Wayne and attended Indiana University in Bloomington graduating with B.S. in Biochemistry. Attended Loyola University, Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine, and then completed Family Medicine Residency in Fort Wayne with the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program. Began practice in Fort Wayne with Parkview Medical Group before moving to Woodlawn Medical Professionals in Akron. In 2006 began my career in the field of Correctional Medicine which led to being the Chief Medical Officer for a company managing medical care for 72 of the 91 County Jails in Indiana. My passion for Mental Health Care and Substance Abuse treatment was cultivated in this role. I have since joined CityBlock Health managing high-risk Medicaid patients across the state. The opportunity to serve as Medical Director for The Grove is beautifully aligned with what I am passionate about, using my ability to help patients who are seeking help with their mental health and/or substance use issues.
